On the occasion of World Environment Day 2024, our school organized a vibrant celebration echoing the theme of ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’. Sr. Jancy Augustine, the principal’s message resonated with a call to action urging students to become stewards of our common home, mother Earth by fostering a healthier, cleaner and greener environment.

As saplings were distributed to the students, a sense of responsibility and hope permeated the atmosphere, as each student pledged to nurture these saplings and contribute to the restoration of our precious ecosystems. The highlight of the event was the recognition of two exemplary of students: Sabarinath K S of class VI and Achutha Lash of class VII by Sr. Maria Goreti, the manager of the school. These students were lauded for their dedicated efforts in nurturing and yielding fruits from the saplings distributed in the previous year. The group song and group dance based on nature loving added color to the event.

The school community including the principal, the manager, teachers and students collectively planted new plants in the school compound. In the afternoon, students showcased their creativity through a poster and collage-making competition, followed by a rally that underscored the significance of Environment Day. The collaborative effort highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and community involvement in creating a greener future.
