Education is a Matter of the Heart (Don Bosco – Founder of the Salesian Congregation)

Education is often thought of as the process of gaining knowledge, passing exams and preparing for careers. While these are certainly important aspects, true education is much more than that. It is not merely the training the mind, but the nurturing the heart.

Guided by an Educational and Spiritual Method Known as “Preventive System”, Don Bosco considered Education as a “matter of the Heart”. It means:

• A constant search for values which promotes one’s personal growth and contributes to the development of human and civil culture.
• Authentic experience of God lived with simplicity and translated to live in harmony with another.
• Kindness that strengthens the bond of friendship, builds up family spirit and creates solidarity.

We are convinced that all these can be achieved only in an educative community in which, pupils, teachers, parents and management work together in an atmosphere of loving kindness, joy, friendliness, family spirit, relationship with God, fidelity to duty, and spirit of service.

We look up to Mary as our Mother, Model, Teacher and Guide.
