On 26th June, Thirurhiparambu Auxilium School celebrated Anti-Drug Day with a series of impactful activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting a drug-free society. The day commenced with a poignant mime performance by the students of Class X, conveying a powerful message against drug abuse. The mime effectively highlighted the devastating effects of drugs on individuals and communities. In the meeting presided over by the principal Sr. Jancy Augustine the highlight of the event was an enlightening awareness talk delivered by Mr. Santha Kumar, Sub Inspector of the Medical College Police Station. Mr. Santha Kumar addressed the audience, comprising students and faculty, emphasizing crucial steps to be taken collectively to combat drug abuse and foster a healthy environment. Furthermore, a footnotes writing competition was organized across various classes, encouraging students to express their thoughts on the significance of a drug-free lifestyle. The competition saw enthusiastic participation, reflecting the students’ commitment to the cause. In continuation of the day’s activities, a rally was conducted through the main junction near the school premises. Participants, carrying placards and chanting slogans promoting drug awareness, garnered attention from the community at large. The rally served to amplify the message of prevention and unity in the fight against drug abuse. To honor the winners of the footnotes writing competition, prizes will be distributed by the Police Department, underscoring their support and collaboration in the school’s efforts to combat substance abuse. Overall, the Anti-Drug Day celebrations at Auxilium ISC School Thiruthiparambu were a resounding success, fostering greater awareness and commitment towards building a drug-free society.
